12th Match Preview: Khulna Royal Bengals vs Duronto Rajshahi (Start time: 6:30pm BdST)

The second encounter of the day will make for fascinating viewing to say the least. Both Khulna and Rajshahi won their last game so both will start the match in confident mood. The Royal Bengals prevailed over Barisal Burners in their previous game while Rajshahi beat Sylhet Royals yesterday.
Rajshahi skipper Mushfiqur Rahim played a sensible knock of 33 in his last game while his Khulna counterpart Shakib is in fine form with both bat and ball.
Marlon Samuels played a starring role for his team in his side’s last win so he will be looking for another good performance with the bat. Abdul Razzaq showed glimpses of his brilliance against the Royals and will be eyeing another workout with the bat.
The likes of Andre Russell and Dwayne Smith are in full flow at the moment for Khulna. Smith has 134 runs in the competition while Russell has six scalps so far, besides his batting cameos. Chanderpaul was among the runs in the last game while Herschelle Gibbs will be desperate for a substantial knock to announce his arrival in the BPL.
As far as the bowling department of Rajshahi is concerned, Saqlain Sajib, Mohammad Sami and Marlon Samuels have given away few runs, besides accumulating wickets at will in the last game.
Sean Ervine was rested in the previous game but Rajshahi can also count on Abdul Razzaq’s canny spells and Syed Rasel’s variation.
Key battles
Mohammad Sami vs Herschelle Gibbs: Gibbs is a destructive batsman, especially under the lights. While Sami will bowl with his usual venom and speed. Either boundaries or Gibbs’s wicket will suffice.
Andre Russell vs Zunaed Siddique: Russell has earned the right to bowl with the new ball, taking wickets for his side at crucial junctures. Rajshahi’s Zunaed will go for his shots early in the game so the duel may produce fireworks tonight.
